I’m a big fan of books. No surprise there. But once you have read all the books in your bookshelf (or re-read the best ones 10 times) you can find yourself contemplating how to pass your time. Especially if you are at home feeling sick, stuck in quarantine or just too exhausted to lift a finger. Perhaps there is no sunset to watch, there’s bad weather outside or it’s too cold to go and do stuff.
Allow me to present to you: Five Awesome TV-Series to Binge! Yup, these are some of my favorites, and yes, I bet that there are probably at least one that you’ll be fond of, too (different genres included here – I’m not a crazy person).
Here they are, in no particular order:
- The Good Place
Okay, so this is one of my all-time favorite series. The continuous twists and turns make you sit on edge while watching, but it is at the same time one of the funniest shows out there. I have always had a thing for Kristen Bell ever since I first saw her sloth-meltdown on Ellen, but in this show, I love all of the characters. Even though they are completely different from each other they make perfect combinations.
Eleanor (Bell) end up in heaven after dying on Earth. Her work with death-row inmates and volunteer work around the globe make her a perfect candidate for a wonderful after-life. The thing is, she never did any of that. They’ve got the wrong Eleanor.
- Sherlock
This rendition of Sir Arthur Conan Boyle with Benedict Cumberbatch as Sherlock Holmes and Martin Freeman as Dr. John Watson is one of the best shows out there. Ever. It is creatively made, makes your heart beat faster and give you lots of mind blown moments. Oh, and the best part – there are four seasons out there and each episode is one and a half hour long. Yay!
(Please note that the trailer does not to the series justice)
- The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel
Miriam “Midge” Maisel have everything she ever wanted, living in the 1950’s, her life seems idyllic with her husband, kids and an apartment on the Upper West Side in New York. However, she come to the realization that she has a hidden talent as a stand-up comedian, which changes her life forever. This is one of those feel-good series you will simply love (well, I do, anyway).
- Planet Earth
We live on a gorgeous planet. This documentary series will show you exactly how stunning it is. From the hills of Himalaya to the deepest parts of our oceans, you will come to know about living species that look like something from a sci-fi movie. Watch it in HD and be completely blown away.
- Stranger Things
This is one of the wonderfully made but creepy ones. It’s so well made, and even if I’m normally not into sci-fi shows this one is special. Everything from the music, the cinematic experience and the actors makes this (sometimes terrifying) show a pleasure to watch.
Have you already binged every one of these?
